Lee Bezehertny is a graphic designer, illustrator, and printmaker from Louisville, KY. She received her BFA in graphic design and printmaking from Murray State University in Murray, KY and recently held a senior exhibition, Lunch Break at BORE INK., in the Clara M. Eagle Gallery.
Inspired by the white and beige walls of schools and living spaces, their work combines gritty textures, pastel colors, creative play, and traditional art making methods to captivate, inspire, and maybe even make ya giggle.
The seagull, as it is used in her work, embodies the balance of seriousness and silliness in each of us. Gulls can be inspiring and at times even regal and sophistocated, but simultaneously, they can be found repeatedly attempting to consume inedible objects.
If you can't find Lee in the studio or at their desk workin' away, you might find them tending to their planted aquariums, searching for their next horror movie to watch, or smothering their cat, Mokie (Miss Mokus Pocus).
